Charge 5 changes the language by itself

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been using the Charge 5 for about a week. Every day either the device or dashboard switches the language back to Japanese, probably because it realizes I am in Japan. My time zone is Japan, but I put the other settings on US/English at least a dozen times. I log out, log back, and sometimes it has changed, other times not,

I manage to get it to English, but then it reverts on its own. The community also appears in Japanese as well sometimes.

I find it frustrating the app and the dashboard do not mirror each other.

I also get messages to update firmware every day. I can’t determine what version I have and what version it is trying to get me to update to.

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @TinJ

Thank you for sharing this information about what you've been experiencing with your Charge 5.

In addition to the steps you mentioned earlier about changing the time zone, please make sure that you've also tried changing the location in the Fitbit app: Go to your dashboard in the Fitbit app > Tap on your profile picture at the top > Swipe down and tap on App Settings > Go to Select location and change it to your country of origin.

If you already tried these steps, try disabling the Automatic Location option as well and sync your device afterwards to check if you continue to experience the same problem.
