Time Frame for Steps, Calories, etc. Charge 5

I was wondering how to have your fitbit "restart" tracking your steps and calories each day? I got my fitbit yesterday and it is still continuing tracking my steps from yesterday to today. I want to be able to have each day separate and to have my steps restarted at the beginning of each day.

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @kellyfrano

Thank you for sharing this information about what you've been experiencing with your Charge 5.

The daily stats, including steps and calories, should be restarted everyday at midnight. Before considering other options, please make sure to check the time zone and other settings are correct: Go to your dashboard in the Fitbit app > Tap on your profile picture at the top > Swipe down and tap on App Settings > Go to Time Zone and change it to your desired location (you can also turn on the automatic location option).

If you continue to have this problem, I recommend that you also try a thee pulse restart:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.
