Charge 5 charging issue

I've left my charge 5 unused for quite a while. Now I've tried charging it, it immediately showed 100% battery but as soon as i disconnect the charger the watch dies. I left it charging over night but no change. I've also tried all the tips, restarting and factory reset with no success....

May I suggest you verify the steps shown here?  Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

Please confirm as well if your Fitbit app and firmware are up-to-date: 

• How do I update the Fitbit app?
• How do I update my Fitbit device?

I've tried all the trouble shooting steps in the link, no change. 

The app is up to date, the device update fails. Looks like it times out, maybe cant sync...
