Two weeks ago my wife’s charge 5 went blank, I have tried the reboot many times over many days, the device simply buzzes every second but refuses to turn on. Two days ago my charge five also went blank and will not turn back on. Tried the reboot procedure of pressing charger button 3 times also but to no success. I am super unimpressed with this product now

same problem. When connected to phone it finally can communicate and says that it is fully charged but still blank screen or brief logo screen. Tried to switch the clock face as suggested in one of the forums and it cannot update. Have been a customer for years. If cannot get to work this may be my last fitbit.

My Charge 5 did exactly the same thing. It is a month past warranty so they will give me a discount on a new device. This is the third fitbit watch that has done this. The last two were before warranty so they were replaced. My wife has had a Versa 3 for three years and it's still going strong .

about every 1-2 years the watches go down. I had inspire HR inn 2020 a Charge 5 in 2022 and now the prices have gone up to $200+ for a decent model with all the features.

Same problem right after the last update. The screen is black and my phone doesn't synchronize with the watch. Installed update on October 2 and the watch stopped working the next day. I have rebooted a thousand times; it vibrates but the screen remains black.
I don't understand why I keep buying these stupid watches; some years ago after installing the newest update my phone suddenly wasn't compatible with the watch after a year using it.

Reading all the comments and reports about charge 5 going blank and not rebooting plus the fact that Fitbit are not addressing this issue I have lost faith in Fitbit and have now purchased an Apple Watch. The 2023 Apple Watch SE comes in at £219 new and I have to say that the features are a lot more comprehensive than Fitbit. The monitoring is also a lot more accurate. I would never have been swayed away from Fitbit if we hadn’t had a total of three charge 5 failures and a total lack of support, but now I have changed to the Applewatch I am impressed. Not a good way to support your customers Fitbit!
