Had anyone gotten any updates about the charge 5 issue?

My charge 5 died just outside of warranty and ended up getting the pixel watch a few months ago. Unfortunately the charge 5 I bought for my gf just died the exact same way yesterday. Basically the same way everyone on here is talking about. Battery drain, then blank screen, then dead. Wish I saw all these issues before.. thanks for the 35 percent off... SMH

Worked perfectly fine before that...

I got into the Fitbit game late but it seems from the short while I've had them these updates are the bane of the user experience..  how's is it that the premier tech company ala Google can have products that are busted so bad by updates... I don't get it.
