Charge 5 dies

My Charge 5 just dies.  I can charge it up to 100% but within a minute of taking it off the charger the screen goes black and won't respond to a double-tap.  It appears to stay connected to my Android app and it appears to execute a Sync Now successfully, I've tried a restart and a factory reset but nothing seems to change.  Any help?

Hi, @SuzanneH2, welcome to the community, you tell us your Charge 5 is connected to the Fitbit app on your phone & syncs, is the icon in the top left corner of the "Today" screen indicating the state of charge when your Charge 5 is NOT on the charging puck? - if so what is the State of Charge? You may like to review this Video @1:30 to check the restart process. You do not mention how old your Charge 5 is, it's a sad fact that wearables have a limited lifespan due to battery degrading depending on how many charge/discharge cycles they've been through. If your Charge 5 is less than two years old you may have the benefit of Fitbit's return and warranty policy depending on where you are, who you bought it from & when. If this might be the case talk to "Customer Support", work through steps one & two then use the chat facility or phone for a prompt response.

I hope this helps, post here again & let us know how you get on.

Cheers
