Charge 5 doesn't track floors

Extremely disappointed that the Charge 5 doesn't track floors! I had to purchase a 5 after the plastic pieces on the device that hold the bands/straps on my 4 broke off (not a great design!) The device still worked but sadly couldn't wear it so purchased the 5 not knowing it didn't track floors!  Usually I research products before I purchase but who would have thought that the next gen of a model would remove something that Fitbit users have been using and tracking for years! Extremely disappointed!

Hi,thank you for taking the time to share all your feedback about the Charge 5, @cvs525.

As you mentioned earlier, this device does not include the option to track floors. The Charge 5 includes many of the features available with Fitbit smartwatches at a more accessible price, but the option to track floors wasn't included with this specific device. You can find all the features available with this tracker on the Charge 5 Product Manual and on the Fitbit Store

Thank you again for sharing all your comments and your experience with this; this is always useful to continue to improving the quality of products and services. Although the possibility to include this feature on the Charge 5 is Not Currently Planned, I do recommend that you vote for these ideas posted in the Community forums to share your feedback and support for this feature:

Keep in mind that because the Charge 5 doesn't have an altimeter, it's not possible to include this feature with a firmware update, but it's always helpful for the team if you vote for these type of ideas, to continue to track popularity and demand over time or to look for alternative options.

Yes, who could think that the "engineers" would remove the altimeter on a FITNESS tracker (not a smartwatch hey)..

So i bought after owning 2x 3 and 1x 4, i bought a 5 blindly... Fitbit don't care about the long time users. They don't want us to upgrade to the latest model. If they did, they would not remove such an important function!

and who would think that after offering us floor counting since the Charge 2 they would downgrade the 5 by removing the altimeter?

Do I care bout EDA? This is a FITNESS tracker for people that do exercise. This i not a SMARTWATCH

@marc.temp Thanks for sharing all your comments and feedback about the Charge 5.

The Charge 5 is indeed listed as a tracker on the Fitbit Store, but it was some extra features that other trackers don't have, like the EDA or ECG features. For other trackers or smartwatches that do include the altimeter option, please make sure to check the specs for each product here on the online Fitbit Store.
