Charge 5 draining exceedingly fast every since I started the premium trial

I've had my Charge 5 for a little over a month.  I just signed up for the premium trial this weekend.  Before I signed up I was getting 5-7 days of battery life.  Now I'm getting less than a day.  I've checked the other various threads on this topic and nothing has helped.  Does premium kill the battery?

Hi, I appreciate the information that you've shared about this problem with your Charge 5, @nielsene

 

The Premium subscription should not be affecting your battery life. Before considering other options, please let me know what are the steps found in the forums that you already tried. In the meantime, make sure that you've tried the following: 

 

  1. Please make sure that you've exhausted all troubleshooting options listed here and check the list of features that require more frequent charging: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
  2. Please restart the device with a 3-press restart.
  3. If you're using built-in GPS, I recommend that you try phone (connected) GPS instead.
  4. Make sure that you manually sync your device as well afterwards.
