Charge 5 had the “X” failure

My first charge 5 had the “X” failure at about 14 months. I replaced it and my second one is now flashing the Fitbit logo after I washed my hands with it on. I’ve tried the hard resets on both of them multiple times to no avail. Very disappointed in Fitbit products after going through this. If anyone knows anything else I could do to salvage them please let me know. Either way I’m switching to Garmin for any future fitness trackers I buy.

Hello @Scott66

A user reported that they were able to bring their Charge 5 back to life by doing an unusual method that is not one of the recommended troubleshooting steps.

Here's the post (<-- click link) if you want to try it.

NO!

Do not put a fitbit that may have water inside it in the freezer!

First try drying it out by letting it sit around for many days and see if that works.
