My charge 5 is mostly unresponsive and is showing an X in a circle when it does respond. I have searched this topic and tried all the steps listed several times and still can't get it to work. Please help!

Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding your Charge 5. I'm sorry to know the situation.
Although I know you have already done the steps listed in other posts, I'd like to share with you the articles in order to confirm the steps listed in them.
Please try to restart the device as suggested here.
Try to sync the device. If isn't possible, please try following these steps: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
If the device is still experiencing the issue, change the clock face as this article suggest: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

I've tried all the steps again twice and still nothing. It won't sync with my phone and doesn't even show up on my phone's bluetooth scan, so i can't do any of the other steps (like change the clockface).

The clock face will come on when I disconnect it from the charger and then that goes black and the logo pops up, but it's still unresponsive in every other way and won't sync.

oh, also when the clock face pops up, it says 12:00 and the date is 01/01

My Fitbit Charge 5 had the same response a few hours ago as the person above. While attempting to complete a firmware upgrade, the unit starting to vibrate, logo screen on and off and has been doing same every time I perform a hard reset. There's nothing I can do to recover. Did log out from the app, removed the unit from bluetooth connection and tried again, and again, and again. Does this have a fix or throw it away?

yep, this is also my 2nd Charge 5... first one also broke, but was replaced under warranty. Don't know if it's still under warranty after being replaced, though. 😞

Did you see my reply yesterday? I've done all the steps several times, and all I have today is the red circle with the X in it. Not responding in any other way today... please help!! Do I need to replace it? It was order number HAAGSCVRT, and that was a replacement for the first one that broke, order # 1sryh243wcf98 . In looking back at my order, the warranty I purchased in February of 2022 was a 2 year warranty. so I should still be under warranty for another replacement. How do i go about that? Thank you for your help.

I had the same issue after a quick fix for another issue I had with my Charger 5. Once the x on the red circle came up and unable to do anything with the device, I just left it there to die and even purchased a new one in the process. When I checked this am, the unit was working just fine. Now, I will have a backup one 🙂
Hope this works for you and anybody else.
Curious thing is that customer service can't give you this potential fix. Let the device's battery die and maybe that takes care of that. Go figure.

Doesn't work. I've tried every fix multiple times. Also tried leaving it plugged in for days. X with circle or nothing. Mine wasn't even a year old. They don't care and won't respond.
