Charge 5 is acting odd

My charge 5 lost its screen display a month ago. Every time I tapped on it nothing happened. I finally got it fixed by resetting it. However for ages the notification on adding a card for Fitbit pay would come up, several times an hour. It went away but my better died today & when I did a charge it came back… 40 times a minute!!! It’s incessant. I tried the reset & now the Fitbit keeps going on & off. When it’s on the screen is frozen.
Is anyone else having these issues? The watch was perfect for 11 months & for the past month I’ve g go ad nothing but trouble

@Duffgirl Thanks for getting back!

To better assist you, would you mind sharing with me the exact message you're getting on your Charge 5? Is it stuck on "Set up Wallet"? If so, please note this screen will appear when opening the wallet app on your Fitbit device by either tapping on it or with left button to access to the shortcuts. While it's not possible to delete the wallet app, please give a try to the following steps to reconnect your watch to your account:

  1. Remove the Charge 5 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Restart your Charge 5.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  5. Select the Charge 5 and follow the onscreen instructions.

Hi there, @Duffgirl. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issues with your Charge 5 before reaching out.

To better assist you, please make sure you've restarted your Charge 5 as described here

If the restart doesn't work and your Charge 5 doesn't vibrate during the restart process, please follow the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Thanks for that, but do you know anything about the constant notifications to add a card to my wallet?
My battery is dying daily because of it!

Hi there,

Unfortunately this didn’t work! It’s so annoying and my battery only lasts less than a day from a full charge. This is the message I keep getting - hundreds of times a day 😑

“Go to Fitbit mobile app and add card to your wallet”
