My Charge 5 step counter jumped from 2,000 steps to 360,000 steps while I was inactive. The syncing app I use is power sinc. How can this be corrected?

I have no idea what you mean by a syncing app, but when someone gets such a big jump in steps, they usually have their phone connected as a Fitbit device, often without even knowing it, and disconnecting it prevents it from reoccurring in the future.  On phone app from Today screen, tap battery icon at top left to get to "Connected to Fitbit" screen.  If Phone is listed as a connected device, removing it will prevent this from happening again.  This is supposedly a Fitbit feature to count steps on phone when not wearing your Fitbit tracker, but seems to have a bug to add tens of thousands of steps at random times, though often just after midnight.  Unfortunately, steps cannot be removed.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
