Charge 5 is double tracking my steps

My phone stoped synching so I removed the device and added it back to the account. Now my phone is showing double steps, for as far back as I’ve checked.

Hi there, @Krystyna20. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I understand your concern. I will do my best to help you with this! 

Now that your Charge 5 is paired back to your Fitbit account, is it still double tracking your steps? If the double steps were just the day you peformed all troubleshooting steps mentioned, I would expect this to be one glitch and I would ask you to keep an eye on your Charge 5. In case this happens again, please let me know and I will be glad to further investigate.

As for the extra steps, please note that you can negate the extra steps in the Fitbit app. For more information, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?
