My Charge 5 (which I've only had for a few weeks) doesn't seem to be accurately counting steps on a consistent basis. I know this because I've been counting the steps I take myself (after suspecting my Charge 5 was off), and at times, the step count total is only about half of what I've actually counted myself.
Has anyone else noticed this problem?
It's frustrating because I purchased the Charge 5 for - among other things - it's accuracy as a step counter, and now I wonder if I should have saved a lot of money and bought a pedometer instead.

Hey @Cheryl77H !
Most step trackers have some level of inaccuracy, but 50% is pretty bad. The Fitbit (on your wrist) won't accurately count steps if your holding a purse, if you have your hand in a pocket, if your pushing a stoller, etc. Basically, your "fitbit hand" needs to be swinging freely. Are you wearing the tracker on your dominant or non-dominant hand? There is actually a setting for this, but I'd have to check where it is.
