I have a Fitbit Charge 5 device. The ECG function is not working anymore. It seems the two metal sensor on the side no longer work.

Hi there, @rruggero. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is no longer tracking your ECG data. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

If you think that your Charge 5 is not tracking your heart rate, please see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

As for ECG-wise, may I know if the Fitbit app is updated? Is your Charge 5 syncing correctly? If you haven't done so yet, please give a try to the following steps:

  1. Uninstall the ECG app from your Charge 5.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and restart your tracker.
  3. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  4. Install the ECG app one more time and make sure the permissions are enabled.
  5. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon > your device. Tap Gallery > Apps tab. In the list of apps, tap ECG > Install
  6. Try taking a reading one more time and let me know how it goes.

I did the suggested procedure, but the ECG still don't start when I put my fingers on the side sensors. Could be an hardware issue?
