Hi there, @Bud1234. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is stuck on the Fitbit logo. Thanks for trying to solve the issue prior to posting here, I'll be glad to continue assisting you.

Have you tried the tips and recommendations provided by @Talahthas?

I've seen this issue happens when we try performing a factory reset without first unpairing the Fitbit device from the phone's Bluetooth settings and Fitbit app. With that being said, I recommend trying the following steps in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Charge 5 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.

If you can't get started with your Charge 5, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Let us know how it goes!

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Bud1234!

Sad to hear you're having issues with your Charge 5. As a first approach to hopefully get things fixed, I'd suggest restarting it. Before doing so please verify that the charging contacts on your device are clean and the charging pins on it's charging adapter are clean as well and can move flawlessly. In doubt, please have a look here:

How do I clean my Fitbit device?

Next please closely follow these instructions as timing is crucial for this procedure:

1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a reliable power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds(!), holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on your device's display.

I'd like to point out that it sometimes requires more than one attempt to restart Charge 5. So, before throwing the towel, please give it another try.

If that won't work for you, please let the battery of your device drain until it will turn off. Then give it a full charge what will take longer this time as your device's battery is deep discharged. If your device won't charge I'd suggest having a closer look here to check for possible reasons:

Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

I'll keep my fingers crossed.
