Kind Attn :
My Charge 5 is showing very very high step count. It counts steps even when I sleep.
This is very very frustrating, Tried some of the recommendation (3 Step restart) etc. Does not work.

Hi there, @AnandStkhlm. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.
In addition to @Talahthas's recommendation, confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:
Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, please see How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
Also, please note wrist trackers count steps depending on the movement of your arms. Fitbit has worked hard to make sure that our devices do not pick up false steps or activity recordings while driving. Unless you're driving in a car with a very stiff transmission or on bumpy roads, your device should not give you false readings. Also, if you place it in a surface with something vibrating or if you make hard hand movements.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @AnandStkhlm!
Sad to hear that you're having issues with your Charge 5. To get better step count, Fitbit needs information about your stride length. Thus I'd suggest to do walking exercises using the GPS to allow Fitbit to calculate that. To do so please follow the instructions here:
How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?
To minimize step count while sleeping you might set up a sleep schedule as described here:
ow do I set a sleep schedule in the Fitbit app?
