Charge 5 is unresponsive

Woke up with a dead Charge 5.

Black screen, non responsive.

Plugged it to charging cable in order to do a reset using cable but unable to get any response, no vibration nothing.

The Charge 5 felt hot to touch by now.

This is my 2nd Charge 5 and is a replacement under the warranty of my 1st Charge 5.

I'm on a few health program and they require daily readings from my Fitbit charge 5.

Fitbit team, please help.

I've 3 failed Charge 5 within a year!!

My Fitbit ran out of battery today (the first time in a long time!). When I plugged it in to charge, it reached the fitbit logo and .... never got any further than that. 

 

I contacted customer service who said: press the cord's reset button 3x ... No change. Try a new charging base, and do the reset.... no change. They emailed me later with a 35% off coupon. 

 

The device went from reliable to useless all of a sudden. 😭

I'm so fed up. I get that devices can have issues but when so many are having issues after turning off and on again, it sounds more like a defect and less like all of our devices all decided to fail in the same situation.

Just happened to me after my workout this morning, no response on charging and I have tried the press three times option.  Not very happy, this is the second one that has failed for me.

I've managed to get it back on but had zero charge it was at 89% yesterday....normally lasts a week...Will see how it goes x

Is it only few of us affected?

My Charge 5 last sync was 1.45 am, and battery was at 73%.

Mine was 22.10 last synced...its weird that is happened to a few ..mine has been absolutely fine till last night

The same exact thing happened to me yesterday while I was working in the garden.  I could feel it buzzing on my wrist (like I was getting a phone call) and this same logo kept popping up.  Now it's dead. Is there anything in the manual to explain what that means??

I put it on the charger - no life, no battery icon, nothing.

I left it charging overnight, still no response.  I don't see a "button" to press on the back of the charger to restart?

Mine was totally dead this morning....plug in your cable as if charging on the end nearest the charging port there's a button on the end of the cable press it 3 times with a second between each press ...mine seems OK now but it was very strange x

I had the same experience yesterday. Repeated buzzing with a request for me to set up something, then dead within an hour. Took a charge fine but then died again overnight.

I phoned fitbit this morning and have a case number so if its the same tomorrow I'll be back on to them x

same here. of course mine is just out of warrant and they think a 35% discount is good enough. I'm done wasting money on these trash devices

Yup, this is exactly what happened to me. It was around 20% and died when I was out walking yesterday, now it just overheats on a black screen when I try to charge it.

OK, found the button on the charger.  I've done that at least 5 times now - no buzzing, no response, nothing!  Sigh....

This is my second Fitbit - first one was the Charge 4. 

Don't think I've had this one a year yet. 😞  so not cool 😞

hey AnitaGP - if it's less than a year old, maybe it's under warranty and they'll send you a free replacement?  I'd try chatting with them to see what they say. But obviously so annoying it broke this week!

My charge 5 randomly stopped working yesterday and is just vibrating and will not reboot. 
my annual subscription was renewed the same day and Fitbit team just sent me a 35% off coupon and did not help with cancellation of membership or getting a refund for a membership that’s few hours old. Super frustrating 

can someone help?

My fitbit did the same thing about 1-1/2 hr ago. Tried the reset button 3x on the charger, not working. Screen is blank, although my app says it synced on time about 20 min into it.  But won't sync again since.  What do I do now?
