Hi

My charge 5 is completely unresponsive and will not charge. I have followed recommendations on all other posts but nothing happening. Will not sync, will not charge, completely black screen and no light.

Hi there, @Jayne54. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still unresponsive. I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, please note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working.  Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.

When it has had two hours, try restarting your Charge 5. I would recommend trying this maybe twice in a row if a first try doesn’t work.

If the above doesn't work, please see Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

Hi

I have already tried the steps you suggested with no luck.
The light at the back showed red for a very short period of time and then
nothing. The Charge 5 is less than 12months old.
The Charge 5 was on 9% when I tried to charge it, when I took it off charge
after 1hour it just had a black screen. I am unable to do anything at all
with it.

Regards
Jayne

Hello @Jayne54

Since you've tried the recommended troubleshooting steps without success and your device is less than a year old, you should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link) to find out what are your options under warranty.
