My Fitbit charge 5 is less than a year old. I took it off to shower and it’s dead. I went through all the troubleshooting and it powered for a moment and then went dead again! I have been a Fitbit customer for years, I’m thinking it’s time to make a switch to something else that is reliable!

Since you've tried the recommended troubleshooting without success and your device is less than a year old, you should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link). If they confirm that your device is defective, they should let you know what are your options under warranty.
