Charge 5 is unresponsive

I originally started with the Charge 3 and had issues with it after a couple of years.  Fitbit thankfully made good with those issues and gave me a good price to replace it which I upgraded to the Charge 5 which I now have had for a couple of years as well.  Today my fitbit just went to black screen. It won't charge. My Iphone no longer sees my charge 5. It won't charge, restart, sync. It does nothing and completely unresponsive. It's like it just completely died out of the blue when it was working just fine all morning.  This is really disappointing since this is now my 2nd fitbit. Are these not intended to last more than a couple of years?  Very disappointing.

Hi there, @bll88. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconveniences you have had with your Charge 3 and Charge 5. I understand how you must be feeling, we‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

Please note that our products are indeed designed and made to last (this goes for each product component) however, there is not an infallible way to ensure that no issues will be present in the long run. Because of this, our Warranty Policy  is set into providing as much coverage as we can. For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty

I've seen you contacted our Support Team before posting here and they've already assisted you. Even though I truly appreciate you took the time to come here and express your feelings towards your experience with your Fitbit devices and also want to find a resolution to your issue, my best advice is to keep the conversation with our team. Note for this kind of inquiries/cases/process, there's not so much we here in the forums can do for you as this is something that our team handles based on our policies.

Thanks in advance!
