Charge 5 is unresponsive

After trying to get my Charge 5 to charge, I tried all the suggested actions. The last suggestion was to try changing the clock. While doing that the display went black and it’s totally unresponsive. Thanks for the suggested fix. My Fitbit is now bricked.  There is no vibration or sign of life when I connect it to the charging cable. What do I do now?

Hi there, @KAGillis. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconveniences you are experiencing with your Charge 5. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

Have you made sure whether your Charge 5 is having a good connection with the charger? Please note that there are some issues that affect this, being which power source is used and how clean the contacts are and how well the charger is seated. If you are charging your Charge 5 on the wall socket, try using another CE certified USB adapter for low energy devices.

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend following the tips and recommendations provided here Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

With the help article I shared above, I'd like you to please confirm if you restarted your Charge 5 as also instructed there.

Well after 2 days of being totally unresponsive when I connected to a charger, my Fitbit has suddenly come back to life! And it has the new clock that I tried to install when it died. So for now, it appears to be working. Time will tell if the battery life and charging behavior is what it should be.
