This is ridiculous that we are paying for products that simply are not complete. How can the connectivity of the charge 5 be so bad? Does not consistently do any basic Fitbit functions. Bluetooth connection is trash. Fitbit says to unpair and repair, but that is not a fix for the issues, only a bandaid.

This device is horrible and outside of this forum it is not being written about as such….I have no control over this devise and it responds when it feels like it….horrible product…

now we know why they say we can not use this as a medical device! LOL.....What a shame as I had such high hopes when I upgraded from the 3 after it quit displaying anything just after a year. I should have known better than to expect more from the 5. Although the display is working well now, I don't think it is recording anything else very well. Very very disappointing.

Frustrated as well - I have had mine for exactly a WEEK and am ready to go back to my Charge 4. Doesn’t sync, battery didn’t even last 5 days, exercise doesn’t work they way I thought it would. So disappointed.

I've had mine for over a year, and it has become my favorite. Having almost no issues.
But then again, I made sure that the phone I bought is known to work well with the fitbit app.

Have you done a recent firmware update? If so you may find it renders your charge 5 useless. Mine was wonderful until the update. Now it simply doesn’t monitor anything and battery drains completely in two hours.

Same here, Rich. Although I haven’t had my Charge 5 over a year it seems like it’s going to do what I expected it to. I had the original Fitbit one for several years…..wore the poor thing out 😊….

I have no problems with the Charge 5, just that it needs more apps/third-party app compatibility. Other than that, i’m fine with it..
But I can kinda relate to your situation, @Angryjoe. Hopefully it gets better. Best of luck.

Agree that the Charge 5 is junk. Takes numerous attempts to sync, mine does not do much of what it is supposed to do. I have played with all the settings over and over, it is not responsive to the finger tap, runs out of battery in a few days, etc. etc. etc. A total waste of money. My Charge 3 was more functional. Apple, here I come.

I agree. It went down hill after a year. I talked to a fitbit rep and he "fixed" my fitbit and it was returned to me in July. Now? Now less than 4 months later, the screen is completely black and it's not charging. Worthless "fix"

Mine is the same way. Wish I stayed with the Fitbit versus. Charge 5 is worthless

I wish I could get the Apple Watch but I can’t have a device that has Wi-Fi capability. My 5 works sporadically. It will do great for a week and then I’ll recharge it and it’ll die on the day or day after I charge it.

Haha I just through mine in garbage. Not even attempting to give it away to anyone.
