Charge 5 keeps freezing

I was denied help from Fitbit support for my Charger 5. At least once-twice a month it has a black screen and won't turn on without being plugged in and reset (hold button 10 seconds). Now it's begun freezing while the screen is on (stops tracking steps, HR, etc and won't allow me to scroll). Customer Support won't replace it because as long as it freezes and comes back on after a reset, "it works." Is there no other way to get this fixed/replaced?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Call8675309

I appreciate all the information provided about this inconvenience with the Charge 5 and the troubleshooting steps that you already tried.

There are a few steps that are usually helpful with display related issues, like the ones mentioned here below:

  1. Complete the 3 pulse restart procedure.
  2. Follow these steps in case you're having trouble to charge your device.
  3. Please sync your device in the Fitbit app by tapping your profile picture > Charge 5 > Sync Now.
  4. If you  can't sync, tap on your profile picture > Charge 5 > Tile to see if a firmware banner appears.
  5. If it's still unresponsive, please try changing the clock face as well and check if you're able to see anything on the display.

If you already went through all these steps with the Customer Support team and you're still having this problem, it would be necessary to continue the communication with them so they can let you know how to proceed. You can click here to get connected.

Please let them know that you already tried these steps, so they can let you know what are the options available for you.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback and comments about this.
