My Charge 5 was at 100% last night and this morning was at 9 13%.  Has anyone had this issue?

Same here ! Have now exchanged my device at my local retailer. Not an
issue. Fitbit wants to update the software in the new one and at the moment
I'm reluctant to proceed. Is it a batch of charge 5 ? Would have thought
that if all were affected the s#£t would have hit the perverbial fan before
now. Will keep you posted.

Oh very interested to see if the new one has the same problem. I got mine on Amazon so exchanging is a little more complicated

Just to update, I removed the SPO2 tracker from my watch & the battery is a bit longer now

I'm in UK so maybe elsewhere its a different version. So far so good still

I am in Canada with the same version and have had the C5 for a few months.  Not sure how this number relates to the version that is being pushed out.

So yours is still 149 not 171?

Whats your version number? Mine was 149 and my battery was very fine even with everything installed (e.g. spo2 etc)

I am having the same issue. with my watch going from 85% to 0 in a matter of hours. put it on a charger for approximately 4 hours and it would not turn on. pushed the rest button on the charger 3 times. could not get the logo to come up. finally it came back to life enough to sync to my phone. Installed the new firmware. Went for a walk and it recorded the walk. Battery was at 31%. Charged it over night. Battery at 100%. Put it on and looked at the time and it was 20 minutes slow. Went to settings on the watch, and reset the it with no luck. tried to sync the watch with the app on the phone with no luck. finally it synced.  Set the watch for walk. Went for the walk and when I finished I went to end the walk on the watch the clock face was on and the watch recorded nothing. The battery was at 13%. Went to investigate why the battery is draining, the battery is totally dead. I am now starting the process of reviving a dead watch.

Hello! Customer service kept phobing me off with have you tried this that
the other etc .Mine became unusable as it would only hold a charge for 2
hrs from a full charge . Luckily my local retailer just swapped it out.
Unfortunately the problem is still out there ! Can't see how a software
upgrade will solve obviously a major problem. Mine basically went over
night. No settings were changed. New one is fine....for the moment.

How did you do the update? I went into the app as was in one of the threads & there was no notification.
Sorry for what may seem like a stupid question but I’m useless with tech.

Thank you, appreciate your help

My understanding is that the update is being pushed to the longer registered
owners first.

Yes, they told me that the update was being rolled out progressively. I will say that my issue has now been resolved by Fitbit, not via the firmware update but by fitbit who agreed to replace as the watch was under warranty. And I feel I should give fitbit a lot of credit for this. I've owned Charges 2, 3, 4 and 5 and have had several problems with all of them requiring replacement. Where the product was under warranty, they've always acted swiftly and with a minimum of fuss.

I don't think it's the update that they are promising. Mine was because it
was a new replacement out of the box.I was wary of doing it but it appears
OK. Device has 85% charge after 3 days of use. Think the original has a
genuine fault. David

Since last week I am experiencing rapid battery drain.  Last night I charged to 88%, this morning some time while I was out and about it reached 0%.  Second time in four days that this happened.

I am still on 149.11, and I have not changed any settings in ages.  Used to get 5-7 days of use between charges.
