Charge 5 lost data and battery draining

My battery has suddenly started to drain from half full to nothing and looses all my data. My fitbit charge 5 is only 5/6 months old. Why is this happening?

It seems to be a known issue without a work around. If yours is that new it should still eb covered under warranty, my advise would be to get it replaced as soon as possible and stop fighting with it.

When my Charge 5 started having sudden drop in battery, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. This eventually got my device "unstuck" and the battery went back to lasting 6-7 days. Although there's no guarantee that you'll have the same positive result, it's worth a try. 

If your Charge 5 still continues to rapidly lose power, then you should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link) to what are your options under warranty.
