Charge 5 no display

Charge 5 was working this morning, no display, unable to wake with double tap or connecting to charger. Update performed this morning, was working ok.

Tried pressing the button on the charging cable 3 times with a 1 second gap between, no change. Not syncing and unable to waken display. Can feel the vibrate when connecting charger and pressing/releasing button on charge cable.

Any suggestions, 2 days old, display shows no signs of damage.

It turns out my Charge 5 requires replaced. There is no response, at all, from the display. Swiping, double tapping or device reset using USB cable button press x3 gives no display response, no Fitbit logo appears. The only indication of any life is that the vibrate works when connecting to the USB charger.
My Charge 5 is being posted for return to be assessed and replaced.

This is the same that is happening with my Charge 5.

Thank you for confirming that you're experiencing the same problem with your Charge 5.

Keep in mind there are some general recommendations that are usually helpful with any type of display issues. If you haven't done so already, please try these steps that have been useful for other users:

  1. Complete the 3 pulse restart procedure method using the charging cable.
  2. Please sync your device in the Fitbit app by tapping your profile picture > Charge 5 > Sync Now.
  3. If you  can't sync, please try tapping on your profile picture > Charge 5 > Tile to see if the firmware banner appears (since a new firmware version has been released for the Charge 5).
  4. If it's still unresponsive, please try changing the clock face as well and check if you're able to see anything on the display.

@AitkenS Thank you for sharing this update. I'm sorry to see that it wasn't possible to resolve the problem, but it's good to know that you'll be receiving a replacement soon.

I'll be around.

Hey @Edab I have been having the same issue.
My Fitbit Charge 5 syncs with the app. But the display seems to be not working. tapped, swiped, tried the 3 tap restart multiple times I feel the vibrations but nothing appears on the display. Changed the clock face, nothing happens.
No firmware update pending as well.

Could you please help? Thanks in advance!!

I am experiencing the same issue.  I did see my iPhone told me that their was an firmware update and I did let that complete.  I have done the 3 pulse restart procedure method using the charging cable and the FitBit logo displays but then no further items on the screen.  It is syncing steps but nothing on the display is very challenging.

When I attempt the try changing the clock face as well and check if you're able to see anything on the display it shows the item being "pushed" and updated to the device but then there is still no change to the device where it will actually show anything.

I'm having the same problems with no visible display on my Charge 5. It's fully charged and it successfully syncs. I've tried the pressing cable button three times on numerous occasions. Device vibrates after each button press. I've changed the clock watchface twice, but I still have no display.

Please advise.
