Charge 5 not auto syncing

I have been using Charge 5 since almost 6 months now and it has never auto synced with my iPhone 13 Pro.
Can someone please let me know how to fix this issue and make sure that I don't have to manually sync it all the time?

As you've already mentioned, your Fitbit device will automatically sync data tracked so far every time as soon you've opened your Fitbit app, @simaem. So there's no, let's call it 'background syncing'. That's most likely done this way to reduce battery consumption on your device for Bluetooth. More on that can be found here:

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @simaem!

Sad to hear about your syncing issues with your Charge 5.
To hopefully get things fixed I'd suggest having a closer look at the troubleshooting section for iPhones provided here:

Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hello Talahthas

I believe there is some misunderstanding here, there is a difference
between manual sync / app sync and auto sync.

The documentation mentioned this

*"**Each time you open the Fitbit app, your device syncs automatically when
it's nearby. Or manually sync your device:"*

My query is simple, what happens if you don't open the app?

I would expect that the data is synced to app all the time without it being
opened and I can see it once I open the app?

Hello Talahthas

That makes sense to me, so basically it doesn't sync in the background but it will sync it automatically once you open the app, alright, thanks for your input, really appreciate it.
