Charge 5 not capturing activity

hi. my Charge 5 doesn't automatically capture my exercise, which is fine I guess as I log the activity and for the most part it works. however, when I review my activity log there are workouts missing and I am 100% certain I logged them. if I open the Exercise section where you see your weekly progress, activity is missing. if I scroll back to the day in question I can see it is captured. but it's not showing in the weekly summary. this is the case for instances where I have multiple workout in one day (captures one/none) or single workout in a day. Very frustrating.

I appreciate the details that you've provided about the issues you're experiencing with your Charge 5. 

Keep in mind that your device automatically recognizes activities at least 15 minutes long. The activities that are tracked automatically are: Walk, Run, Outdoor Bike, Elliptical, Spots, Aerobic Workout, Swimming. If you continue to have the same problem with your device not recognizing them, please try restarting it following these steps.  

Regarding the Fitbit app not showing you your activities, please make sure to try the following steps as well:

  • Log out from the app
  • Clear Cache for the Fitbit app on your phone's settings (Settings > Apps > Fitbit app > Storage > Clear cache)
  • Restart your phone
  • Log back in to check if you're able to see your information
  • If you're still having this problem, uninstall and reinstall the app
