It has been more than 3 months since Fitbit Charge 5 stopped working. As soon as the charging connection is removed the charge goes to zero.Had 3 secessions of live chat and tried all options. I just left it connected to the charger for the past two months. It got charged to 100% and worked for a week. After putting it to recharge it showed "X" on the screen. Somehow got out of it and the chargeing won't go beyond 13% since past two days.
This seems to have happned after their latest firmware update. Conveniently FitBit Charge 5 stopped working just two months out of warranty period and I was told the instrument is out of warranty. You can draw your own conclusions on this.
I will look for other alternative devices and won't purchase another FitBit device
