My Fitbit was in exercise mode tracking my walk after being fully charge a little over a day ago when it suddenly turned off. When I tapped the screen, only the blue Fitbit logo would show up for a second before disappearing again. This happened several times before the screen went blank and wouldn’t turn back on. I plugged it into the charging cable and pressed the cable button three times. But the device is not responding at all and won’t even charge. I can’t get it to sync with my phone app at all, and because my app isn’t recognizing the device anymore, I can’t change the clock face as I’ve seen other people suggest in the community threads. My device is less than a year old and was received in September 2023. Please help!

Charge 5 fitbit was charged to 100% prior to going to gym on June 24, 2024. Put it on wrist and it was working fine until I arrived at the gym. Looked at my wrist to select the appropriate workout and the screen was black. Was unable to get the screen to respond. Checked the phone app and it reported that battery was low. Kept on charger for several hours, after getting home, but app showed battery as low. Took it off charger over night and put it back on charger next morning. After several hours, it still did not show a charge. Tried several of the suggestions that were offered thru the forum; which included hard restarts; changing the clock face thru the phone app.Removing app and put back on; unpairing and re-pairing; restarting my phone, etc. Nothing worked. Eventually it stopped responding to the hard resets and would not vibrate. I cleaned the pins. Back on charger, but still no responses. Checked it again within a few hours and the fitbit was extremely hot to touch, so unplugged it.Tried putting on charger thru out day, but it would continue to overheat, so I would take it off charger for hours and would try again. Have tried other suggestions in the community with no success.I am keeping a notebook of all the suggestions that I have tried from the community and fitbit support team. I am extremely disappointed with a tracker that I received in June of 2022 and really enjoyed until just recently.. Prior to June of this year, I had never had any problems with my fitbit. It was barely 2 years old. I still haven’t given up on my fitbit yet and I am still constantly checking the internet for different solutions, but it is ridiculous to have paid this type of money for a product that is only good for a couple of years.
