Charge 5 not syncing after converting to Google account

Tried the steps listed here for the app in this forum. Did not do anything. Refreshed bluetooth. When I try to manually sync on the device, it just circles and then eventually gives a red exclamation point. Not syncing steps or anything. Says no data. Charge 5 is working fine  counting steps as far as I can tell. Please advise. Thank you.

Did you try logging out of the Fitbit app and logging back in using the Sign in with Google option?
