I have had this problem intermittently. I have found that it will usually sync if I just wait a couple hours. Not very satisfying, but it works. If it continues for more than a day:

Best AnswerUseless instructions don't work. I advise hitting it 5 times with a sledgehammer then returning it for full refund!
Agree on all counts! Just wasted 2 days following all instructions to try to get my new replacement Fitbit to work with no luck. Fuming!!

I usually sync when I wake up, and it seems to be a rare occurrence when I doesn't sink anymore. It was bad back when everyone was having the issue. Anyway, I should gave mentioned that I stopped trying to get mine to sync. Now I just wait a while and it eventually syncs. There is nothing there I need to see so badly/immediately that it can't wait a little while.

Best AnswerYour app is the worst I've ever seen. Hard enough to "force quit the app". How do you "clear the fitbit app cache"? Maybe with a 5 pound sledgehammer?????

No, indeed. I usually only have to wait an hour or two. Maybe not that long, even, but I am not busy trying to get it to sync. You should reach out to support. I assume your Charge 5 firmware is up to date, and you have the latest app, etc.
