Charge 5 not tracking SpO2, HR or sleep

After a period of time usually one day, unit stops tracking HR, oxygen, and sleep. Still plenty of battery. After a short time on charger functions once more as intended. Just hadn’t been dependable or consistent

Hello @Fuser

Have you had a chance to restart your Charge 5? That is often the first recommended troubleshooting step to try. If you haven't done a restart before, this help page has the instructions: How to restart the Charge 5 (<-- click link).

Since you mention not seeing your HR, sleep data, or SpO2 value, you might want to check the heart rate sensor on your Charge 5. It's the green light on the back of your device. If you place your finger on the back of your Charge 5, then lift it, you should see a green light. If you're not seeing a green light, check to make sure that Heart rate is turned on in the Settings menu of your Charge 5:

  • Swipe down from the clock face to get to the Settings tile and tap on it
  • Swipe up to see Heart rate. It should be turned on. If it's not, tap on it to turn it on.

If you're still having intermittent issues with the heart rate sensor, I've seen users report that Support had them do a factory reset and that fixed their heart rate sensor. If you want to try this, this help page has the steps to follow: How do I erase (factory reset) my Fitbit (<-- click link). Just make sure to do a sync first since this process will erase all the tracked data on the Charge 5.

Please let us know if this helps with your issue.
