Received my first Fitbit yesterday. With certain life changes I've become a biphasic sleeper. This usually translates to 4-5 hour first phase, and 2-3 hour second phase. And guess what? The Charge 5 only recorded stats for the first sleep period
I looked at a previous, well written forum question from 2014 that broke down the inability of Fitbit devices to recognize bi/polyphasic sleep. Wish I'd seen that before ordering this so I could research alternatives.
Does anyone else encounter this problem? Does the software figure it out after a while? I doubt it, but any input would be helpful. When I chatted with customer service, the individual didn't understand what biphasic sleep was and helpfully tried to tell me to follow basic instructions. I mean, I'm not the brightest knife in the deck, but I do know that wearing the device snug against the wrist is important. *insert eye roll*

Hello @IntroVertex11,
Unfortunately, there is no fix. The Charge 5 needs to be able to detect a minimum of 2 hours of sleep or else it won't register the fact that you're sleeping.
