Charge 5 resets during a run, it has happened a few times this week at the 15 ish minute mark and it displays the Fitbit logo and then it goes to the circle x and eventually it goes back to normal, if i start a new run it does the reset thing again. I have the tracker for about a year with no issues before. I have tried the manual reset and unpairing, and pairing . I use iPhone

Hi, thank you for sharing that you've been experiencing this inconvenience with your Charge 5 and that you already tried a few troubleshooting steps, @chieflaz.

As you mentioned earlier, the device should not be restarting while your recording your activity. In addition to the regular restart, it's usually recommended to try the three pulse restart using the charging cable:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

In this case, if you already tried all these steps and you continue to experience the same problem with the device restarting constantly, I recommend that you get in touch with the Customer Support team for further assistance with this. They will let you know how to proceed.

The best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. You can click here to get connected.

I discovered the problem was with my phone, I had changed a few apps from precise location on to off, having it off does not play well with the GPS and fitbit, I returned to precise location on and have not experienced any issues since.
