My Fitbit 5 facing is dangling. It was purchased November 2021 but I got it as a gift for Christmas 2021 so it hasnt been used for a year yet.

Hi @AFRogers12 the warranty goes from the date of purchase, not when it was first used. You can get with customer support, but from what I've seen on the forums, the most you'd get is a discount for another device.

Thanks I actually just read the warranty and saw this. Such a shame Fitbit products don’t last very long for the money. I had 2 different Fitbit 4 and they all stopped working. Guess I’m done.

My Charge 5 did the same thing! It's April 2023 and my warranty expired in January 2023. So sad they don't allow us to buy extended warranties! Too much money to last barely over a year. I've had 2 prior fitbits and I've never seen this happen. That it just fell apart and the screen was just dangling there! Wow.

Mine just did this yesterday. I woke up and it was dangling. I think I’ve had it for 2 years. I’ve never worn it in water so I don’t understand how this happened. I’m going to try to gorilla glue it back, what can it hurt? Anyone else try something like this or done something different?

The same thing happened to mine. Mine is just over a year and I felt something hitting my hand only to realise it was dangling. Today the screen went blank. And they are offering me 35% on my next purchase. All my friends are going 🍎. I guess I'm going to have to follow them. I loved FITBIT, but this has left a bad taste. I've always had from the charge 2 forward. Tsk tsk.

Mine did the same thing. Best advice Iv have is the Charge 5's are on sale
now. Fitbit is offering 35% off. Brings the price down to under $100. Buy
the 2 year protection plan. These don't last a year. Amazon's are with
Asurion protection. Terrible warranty service. Just go with fitbit and good
luck. I put mine back in place but the screen went dark and never worked
again. Can't hurt but guessing all the chemicals in Gorilla Glue are not
gonna help it on the inside. And never wear your fitbit in the shower,
pool, lake or ocean. Do your best to refrain from getting it wet. They've
been aware this has been happening with the Versa 4's and Charge 5's, as
far as I can see, from a Google search, since 2020. Hopefully they will
purchase better gaskets for these expensive devices so we can get more than
a year out of them as customers!
Can't afford Apple and I like Android better. You can always replace with
fitbit 35% off and buy the 2 yr protection plan. Too bad only fitbit offers
2 yr protection plans through Square trade and not through a single
retailer they sell these products through. Amazon offers 3 yrs through
Asurion but they are horrible to work with. Check out the reviews for
Asurion. Sadly, I will only be buying from fitbit now. The Charge 5's are
currently on sale now. I'm not sure for how long. Good luck!

Hi everyone, thank you for all the feedback you've been sharing about the product and the wristbands in particular.
If you're new to this thread, make sure to press the band into the end of the tracker until you hear a click and it snaps into place. Keep in mind that the band with the buckle attaches to the top of the tracker. You can find other useful information in this article to properly secure the band.
