At first touch screen stopped working. And then about a week to two weeks later, today, screen stopped working completely. I tried restarting it with charging cable, and was successful at that, but it had no effect. It still gathers data regarding my sleep, calories spend, etc, but anything that requires screen like a timer is obviously unaccessible. Quite bummed because it isn't even a year old and I can't get a replacement.

Hi, @glover33 , one other troubleshooting step you could try is to change the clock face. That sometimes fixes an unresponsive/ blank screen. On your Fitbit app click on the icon (smartphone and watch) at the top left of the opening screen. On the next screen click on your Fitbit device picture (Charge 5). On the charge 5 screen you will see Gallery near the top. Click on that and choose Clocks. Select any clock face other than the current one and be sure to sync your Charge 5.
If that resolves your issue you can return to the previously chosen clock face if you prefer.
If you cannot resolve your issue, and you have bought your Fitbit from an authorised retailer, and your Fitbit is less than one year old then Fitbit Customer Support should be able to work with you to troubleshoot your problem and if appropriate replace your device. The same thing happened to me! I've tried a few things like reseting it from the charging cable button, and right now I'm letting the battery completely drain but I dont have high hopes. Don't disconnect it from your bluetooth, even if the support guys say to try it, you'll never be able to sync it back up without the screen (you can't see the sync code).
If you bought it less than a year ago you can contact support for a replacement though
