Fitbit charge 5 screen flickering and failing to turn on and sync from time to time

Hi there, @matt0876. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is flickering between screens and it's having a hard time to sync. I'll be glad to help you with this. 
 
To solve both issues, I'd recommend as a first approach to restart your Charge 5 as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
