Charge 5 screen not responding

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 5 only responded to wrist movement that would show the time, on the first day I wore it. Now, after only 1 week, I find that I have to tap the screen twice numerous times to get it to respond and turn on. Is this a defect? How do I replace it for one that stays working?

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @DH491

Thank you for sharing that you've been having this inconvenience with your Charge 5.

As you mentioned earlier, the display of your Charge 5 should turn on when you turn your wrist if you have the Screen Wake option activated on your quick settings. To turn on the display by tapping on the screen, you need to firmly tap the screen twice. you can find more information on how to interact with the display here

If the screen is not responding, please try restarting your device using the charging cable, as described in this article. Let me know about the outcome.

I'll be around.

Thank you sooo much! I guess I must've inadvertently turned that feature off when I wasn't understanding what it was for. Now that it's back on, it's working as it should again.

I do have another question. Is it possible to set multiple alarms for 1 day at one time? I used to be able to do that easily on my Charge 4, but haven't been able to figure out how on the Charge 5.

@DH491 No problem, that's great news!

Regarding your question about the alarms, I was able to confirm that you can set up 8 alarms for the same day on your device. You would need to go to the Alarms app on your Charge 5 > swipe down until you see Add new alarm > Repeat the process until you have added up to 8 alarms for the same day.

When you tap on an alarm that you have set up, you will see the option "Repeats", make sure the option "One time" is selected, so the alarm will go off on the same day, you can also select "Every day" or any specific day of the week.

I hope this helps, I'll be around.
