I went for a swim yesterday. Before getting into water, I turned the water lock on.
After coming out, my fitbit went dark. I dried it up and put it on charging. After many tries, and resets (using triple presses on the charging cable) it did come back to life and I let it charge to 100%.
It synced and I realized that it did recognize half of my swim time, so it must have died while I was swimming. Now when I put it on, the screen is unresponsive to touch. I can only get it to turn on by moving my wrist to read position. There is no scrolling message that usually shows up if the water lock is on. So it's not because of that either. It is still tracking steps and heart-rate and I am able to sync using the app. Additionally, the battery is draining extremely fast. Gone from 100% to <20% in less than an hour. Any recommendations on how to fix this please?

I connected with customer service and they advised to reinstall a different clock face. I did that and it still didn't help. 😞

I don't have an answer since I have been trying to get my charge 5 to work for the last 3 days. I know it has power as the fitbit logo appears briefly and then disappears. Also when I put my finger on the back of the charge 5 a green light flashes, but still nothing on the screen. It is completely black. I charged it in 2 different locations and cleaned the back of the fitbit. Help! Please!

After 48 hours, screen is back to being responsive on its own.
The battery continues to be an issue. Drains out in less than hour.
Removed alway wake.
GPS is Dynamic.
Prior to the incident, I could easily stretch it 4-5 days.
Is there a way I can get the battery replaced?
