Charge 5 screen went black. Plugged into charger, vibrated wildly when charger attached, and when detached, then completely unresponsive. No response when connected to charger. Unable to reset using USB reset method. Not getting any of the normal reactions when connecting the charger. Owned for 16 months.

Thank you for the information provided about this inconvenience with your Charge 5.
In addition to the three pulse restart procedure that you mentioned, please try these additional steps that have been useful for other users:
Tried all this too, annoying thing is both my wife’s as well as my Charge 5 started doing this at same time. So it’s clearly a central Fitbit issue.
OMG, same! mine is also 16 mths & it died. Can just see black screen and cannot turn on for NO reason! it was working fine all the while! i contacted the help and seems like nothing can be done and is no longer under warranty. Does Fitbit design their watches to fail just as warranty ends? my old cheaper fitbits lasted so much longer, this is so frustrating!
Best AnswerMine did basically this and it was 3 weeks old...the logo would pop up about every 3 minutes but nothing else.
Best AnswerThis is my 2nd charge 5 in less than 12 months. After 5 months , black screen wouldn't charge etc. Contacted help desk and they sent me out a new 'pebble'. Now at 10 months and again I have no screen. I logged out of account, changed clock face, rebooted from the cable power button. Wasting my time even worrying about it. This product, the charge 5 ,is faulty. I do not understand how it is still on the market. They should recall all devices and refund money.
