I bought the Fitbit Charge 5 less than a year ago. I swim twice a week. It broke (cannot charge and the screen went dark) during my swim. Any suggestions?

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Soph2020.
Thanks for sharing all this information about the issue you're experiencing with your Charge 5.
Just to confirm, did you mean the device is physically broken or you were referring to the black and unresponsive screen?
Since your device should be water resistant, I've gone ahead and sent your information to the Customer Support team for further assistance, so you should be getting a reply soon.
See you around in the Community.

I'm having the same issue. After washing the dishes my fitbit became unresponsive and blank, dark screen. Device was purchased a year ago. I dried it out in a bag of rice overnight, restarted the fitbit, unpaired it from my phone, and updated the app. Now it is not recognizing that its connected to the charger.
