I wear my Charge 5 during workout sessions and in the last session it was showing my heart rate as too high, as checked by a pulse oximeter. The recorded HR was 130 to 150 for 20 min or so, but when I checked in on the pulse oximeter my HR was under 100.
I monitor my pulse on the fitbit throughout my session, because I'm trying to avoid red-zoning, which from my experience tends to occur above about 130. If it gets too high I normally stop till it drops. I'm also fairly certain I didn't have AF either, because it wasn't accompanied by the breathlessness which a period of AF in the past (20 months ago) causes - instead I felt fine.
After talking to the supervising EPs, I continued with no ill effects except an inaccurate record and a distrust of my Charge 5.
This hasn't happened to me before.
Any idea what to do if it happens again?

Hi, it's good to see you visiting the community forums, @Gabbee.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the Charge 5 and heart rate tracking.
To ensure that your device is tracking information as accurately as possible, please try adjusting the position of the device on your wrist following the recommendations listed here. You can find some additional steps and recommendations about factors that can affect your heart rate data here.
In addition and as a first steps, I would also try restarting your Charge 5 using the charging cable and then check if you continue to experience any abnormal behavior. Let me know how it goes.
