I’ve had my charge 5 for about 5 months and just yesterday it will only hold a charge for about 3-4 hours. I haven’t changed any settings and before this it’s always lasted about 7 days.

Same thing here. This makes the device unusable. What is the official response from fitbit?

Mine too!! I bought a new charger and it’s still not holding charge for more than an hour - can Fitbit replace it?

This started happening about three weeks ago. My battery life suddenly dropped from 3-5 days to less than one day. It happened around the same time as I began to get frequent notices to add credit card information.
Yesterday battery life dropped to less than one hour. Constant resetting does nothing.
The Fitbit provides stock advice to turn off full-time display, etc. Useless. There is no reason for this to happen across so many users except a software/app/server glitch. Discounts for new devices don't cut it for me. I'm out.
