I purchased my Charge 5 from Amazon in March this year. After 2 months the screen went black and I could not revive it. I reported this and received a replacement. However, since then the screen has switched itself off frequently and annoyingly in the middle of exercises and biking, so I don't get correct data. I then plug it into charger and it simply wakes up again, with plenty of charge still on it.
This morning I woke up and found that my Charge 5 was flashing red saying low battery, which was odd, as I had charged it the previous day, so I plugged it in and it stated 78% charge, again odd!!! I left it plugged in for an hour, it then said 38% charge, left it for 30 mins then 100 % charge.
There is clearly a fault or bug with the Charge 5. I love this Fitbit, but it is unreliable, therefore useless.
FITBIT PERSON .. please address this issue!!!!!!!

Hi, @Curlysandy1, welcome to the community, may I suggest you review your display settings from the clock screen swipe down to and touch settings>display settings>screen wake - set to auto>always on display "off". Do have a look at the manual to review your DND, Sleep and quiet mode settings. These settings should see your screen normally off but to view just flick your wrist. You do not mention the clock face you are using, try changing to another to see if this changes things. Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging? may also be of interest if you continue to see unpredictable battery charging.
Please post here again if you are still stuck.
Cheers
