Charge 5 stopped responding

Hi,

Had my charge about a week now. Set up was seamless. However after about a day it stopped responding to touch on the screen. Just a black screen. I could install.new watchface. Progress showed it installed, and the app confirmed installation. However still black unresponsive screen.

The knly thing that brings it back and functioning is to use the reboot button on the charging cable. Which is a nuisance to say the least.

This has happened 4 times since. Everytime it needs a reboot.

The fact that I can only do the reboot with the cable is a farce.

I have also reset and re-paired the device and the same things happen.

I only got a charge as I was so. Disappointed with my Sense 2, that I sent it back. My sense 1 was great.

And now the charge 5 seems plagued with issues. Fitbit devices used to just work, notlw they are a nightmare....

Any help anyone?

Cheers

Ian

Hey Maria @MarreFitbit ,

Yes I have but am still awaiting a reply from them following teh conversation with the support agent.

It seems that there have been a LOT of people with teh same issue, perhaps linked to an update, seems too much of a coincidence to be not linked to something from fitbit.

Whatever it is, my device is only just a week old, totally unusable, and I am not sure whether I will get a replacement, as reading other people's comments.as I got it through a third party - who gave me the UK support number to arrange a replacement - then I am not sure whether you Fitbit honour the warranty.

Google's ownership is going to lose customers.  People will not move to Pixel devices as the battery life is shocking.

We bought into teh fitbit ecosystem because it was genuinely the best there was.  Now it seems like Google just dont care about fitbit at all.  And to be blunt will be happy just to take the tech, embed it in their devices and who cares about Fitbit.

I'm not angry, just massively disappointed.

Sad times.
