Charge 5 stopped syncing to apps

My charger 5 suddenly stops syncing to apps. I've tried all possible options, reconnect Bluetooth, restart charger 5, making sure system updated on my pixel phone. The apps shows "looking" at sync part.

Does Fitbit have another system network issue like the last one several months ago????

Hi there, @LBie. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the issue persists. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, would you mind letting me know which apps are you referring to? Are you trying to access the Fitbit App Gallery? Are they third-party apps linked to your Fitbit account?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Marre, I think I have the same issue, on
Pixes8a fitbit app, tried to get sleep score, app would not sync to my charge 5.  after multiple tries, I did the reconnect in bluetooth, 'force stop' for fitbit app and re=opened, deleted fitbit app and re-installed thru play store.  now will not sync to charge 5 after multiple tries

Hi there, @TomH8700. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for troubleshooting the issue with your Charge 5 prior to posting here.

As a first approach, I suggest following the troubleshooting steps provided in this help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

If the issue persists, please try the steps below in the order listed. Important: Please be aware that most Fitbit devices store up to 7 days of detailed minute-by-minute data. If you wait longer than 7 days before syncing, you may only see the most recent week's detailed data. Summary data (calories, distance, steps, and floors) will be stored for 30 days. Nevertheless, if your Fitbit device was unpaired from your Fitbit account during this period of time, neither the 7 days can be recovered or restored.

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Fitbit device first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Updates: later on the day when I wanted to charge the device, it doesn't charge either. I then follow the steps (pressing button at the charger cable) from another post about charging problem and it worked not only the device charging also the connection to my fitbit apps resumed. However, the heart rate and zone minutes data are lost during the no synced hours. Weird that everything else data, such as step counts, didn't get lost.
