Charge 5 stopped syncing

Charge 5 worked well for 7 weeks, stopped syncing yesterday. Still tells the time and adds steps to yesterday's total. Is there a problem with the app, and if so when will it be fixed?

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working properly. I'd suggest restarting your device as a first step. To do so, please follow these instructions:

1.) Connect your device to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.
2.) Press the button located on the USB plug of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

I have the same issue, mine stopped last night. I love my Charge 5 and don't want to have to get a new one.

Try clearing the fitbit cache 

Stop the fitbit app, this has to be done through the phones settings. Then open pthe fitbit app. 

Restart phone 

Restart tracker 

Shutdown phone 

 

If still unsuccessful 

Remove the fitbit app

Restart the phone 

Install fitbit 

Log in

I can't get my Charge 5 to hold a charge longer than 24 to 36 hours after a full charge.  Support offers no real help.  I realize they are limited to their scripted "help" information, but doesn't help at all.  I'm pretty much done with Fitbit.
