I took my Fitbit Charge 5 to the pool for the first time, as I understood it to be waterproof up to 5 or 50 meters. However, after about 10 minutes in the water, the screen went blank, and the device started vibrating continuously. I removed it and set it aside, but the vibration persisted for over an hour.
I tried turning it off, but nothing worked. The vibration finally stopped when the battery ran out. After recharging it for a couple of hours, the watch wouldn’t turn back on. This happened 4-5 months ago.
We initially reached out to Fitbit for support, but last month, we learned that Google had taken over Fitbit. We've since tried contacting Google, but we still haven’t received a resolution.
Could you advise us on what to do next in this situation?

If you look through the forum you will find years worth of issues with the Fitbit Charge 5. I am surprised you have had yours for so long without an issue prior to this. I have not worn a Fitbit anything since the only resolution I have seen is buying a new Charge 6. I refuse to continue to buy a new one every year because Google refuses to have good resolutions for issues with their trackers, specifically the Charge 5.

Did you get your issue resolved? And if so, how? I'm in a similar situation and not getting help from Google.
